Josiah Porter Rowe
Josiah Porter Rowe (2/27/1851 - 3/18/1933), born in Virginia, was a son of Absalom Peyton and Almedia Gayle Rowe. and was a butcher, councilman and mayor, according to various census reports. In the 1880 Spotsylvania Census, his name is listed as Joseph.

He married Julia Cullen Taliaferro (4/23/1857 - 9/27/1951), from Richmond, VA on 7/13/1887, at Leigh Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Julia may have been born in Caroline County or maybe Hanover.

Julia was a daughter of William Taylor Taliaferro (1834 - abt 1895), from Ashland, Virginia. In 1859, his occupation is listed as a Real Estate Agent. William Taliaferro was a member of the Richmond Howitzers - Richmond Volunteers Company I, holding the rank of Private in 1861.
